During the last seven month we were working on a high complex Robot Workstation for industrial applications. First of all it has been necessary to check if it’s possible to transform a manual production process into fully automated and robot supported process. Based on the results of those investigations we prototyped Tools which are able to handle certain single tasks of the production process. Additionally to the Tools we equipped the robot with an vision controlled system. It allows the system to find parts within its workspace complete independently. Further Functionalities are a self-learning Quality-Control-System and high variability in the entire process. The System is based on a Universal Robot UR5.
